Praying for Miracles

Sometimes when I sit down to write a new blog post, I just sit and stare at the blank screen for a few minutes.  This is one of those times.  It’s one of those posts I don’t want to write because I don’t want to admit that it’s actually happening.  But it is.  The hard grace.

Two weeks ago, my best friend and I were enjoying a carefree weekend in Scottsdale to celebrate our birthdays a few weeks early.  Look, here’s proof:

Playing cards poolside with an ice bucket holding our happy hour drinks:

On our way in to see Kenny Chesney:

It’s something we’ve done together for years.  Six years ago, we celebrated in Portland with shopping, makeovers, and pedicures:

Two years ago, we celebrated here in Bend with Sugarland:

And last year, we celebrated in Portland with Tim McGraw:

And if you still don’t recognize her, you might remember my stories about her here, and here.  Just a few days ago, life became not-so-carefree.  Shawna was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer – likely colon – and needs all the prayers she can get.  We’ve set up a blog for her updates so people know how to pray, and there will be a link up in the next few days for donations to be made for her medical bills.

Please go read the blog here: www.lovingonshawna.com and pray your heart out.  Then tell everyone you know to read it and pray their hearts out too.  And please make sure to check back for the donation link.

Clients, please understand that turnaround times might be a little bit slower over the next few months while I travel more and work remotely.  Thank you all for your prayers and support!

I am sorry to hear about your friend. I will for sure make a donation when the link is available. I will be sending positive thoughts and prayers her way as well as yours. I wish you strength during this tough time.

Lifting Shawna, her family and you up in prayer constantly.

Misty:

In spite of ALL Shawna is enduring; She is one BLESSED girl!!!! I have said it before and I will say it again~ God trusts Shawna with His glory and Heaven WILL prevail… xoxoxo Love to you Jane!

Romonia Isaac:

Praying for Shawna and the cards that have been dealt to her. She seems like a strong willed woman who knows how to fight and get what she wants out of life. It is never easy seeing the people we care about fight cancer, but it is never easier to hear that a stranger is fighting this battle. Prayers go to you, Shawna’s family and her other friends who are supporting her and giving her strength beyond measures. She is lucky to have such wonderful people surrounding her and with God’s grace and love, I hope that she listens to God and fights hard!
