I got out of my Friday design posts habit and figured it was high time to get an update on this sorely neglected journal. Trust me, I have good reason for the silence. Things keep growing around here, and some days it feels like it’s coming in exponential numbers. In addition to our regular branding commissions, we’re delving more and more into the world of templates. For example, Fashion Sense – our latest Welcome Magazine:
This 20-page, 8.5 x 11 Welcome Magazine was inspired by our favorite fashion magazines and comes complete with a built-in referral program for both print and web. It also comes with a bonus referral card design that’s ready to print and affix to the back page of your magazine. Prefer to display the magazine virtually? We do! That’s why we’ve created built-in hyperlinks (in the InDesign files) making it extra easy for clients to send referrals and receive exclusive savings at the same time! To protect the integrity of the product, the sample magazine shown above uses dummy text in the articles. However, the purchased files (both Photoshop and InDesign files are provided) include pre-written text from the Welcome Magazine I use for my own clients.
The best part? It’s on sale until next Friday (7/22/11)! Get all the rest of the nitty gritty info on the Fashion Sense magazine in The Bee’s Knees!
Adding to the chaos around here, Monique has been receiving quite a few emails asking about the Little Miss Sunshine template. Our wildly popular inaugural ProPhoto design is still just as popular in retirement, so we mixed up some of the elements and brought it back by popular demand!

Don’t go looking for this one in the ProPhoto Design Store – it’s exclusively available in The Bee’s Knees.
And while you’re there, don’t forget to grab your Little Miss Sunshine 2 Blogsite Upgrade:

We’ve also been working on some custom projects like this splash page for the lovely Jess Kamm:

And this logo for Nahono Tsuruga:

And this peek at a newly approved blog that’s getting packaged up and sent to coding:

And this one that’s in the middle of the coding process:

And if all that’s not enough, I’ve been scrambling for the last two days to get a new branding catalog together in anticipation of the NAPCP Retreat coming up a week from Monday in Vail! (Did I mention that we’re a sponsor?) We also had WHCC come calling, commissioning us to design templates for Focused – their shop of templates specifically designed for their press printed products available to professional photographers. (That was a lot of p’s!) Not to mention a project we’re working on for Clickin’ Moms, and something we have brewing with SmugMug.
Add to that list two portrait sessions begging to be edited, half a dozen new logos waiting to be created, some blog nips and tucks for existing clients, and a handful of Facebook business page makeovers, and you have one very busy girl on your hands. And a lot of very good reasons as to why our “regularly updated journal” hasn’t been regularly updated these last few weeks. But I don’t mind if you don’t.
I imagine we’ll see each other again next week. But if you don’t hear from me again until August, have a margarita for me and leave some love on our Facebook page. Until then, happy weekend!

As always, beautiful work Jane! LOVE the magazine style information!!!!
