We all know how much photographers love to shoot in that yummy evening light. We try to schedule our sessions for that perfect golden hour… the hour right before sunset where the light turns soft and buttery. However, that hour is pretty late in the summer months for little ones. And while I do love to shoot in that light, I love shooting happy babies more. So I did something I’ve never actually done before. I scheduled a morning outdoor shoot.
The time wasn’t ideal for light, but I found a shaded area in my favorite new shooting location, and it couldn’t have worked more perfectly.
Miss Ainsley is five months old, and she’s very much a daddy’s girl. As I began shooting, he began singing: “If I was a flower growing wild and free. All I’d want is you to be my sweet honey bee.”
He must have sang that line about a dozen times. And each time he sang it, she smiled. I’m talking ear to ear grin that lights up the whole face kind of smile. The kind that’s contagious.
I just love this family. And I’m in love with this session. Happy Weekend.

So so beautiful! What a cute family!
