As I left my house a handful of weeks ago, en route to meet my client at her house before driving to our shooting location, I wondered if we would actually be able to shoot. It was one of those Central Oregon late afternoons that brought with it a sky full of black clouds from the southwest, and a lot of wind to warn you of the possible storm to come. As we drove together, I kept my eye on the sky. And the clouds stayed just enough at bay that we were able to shoot. Without wind. In the most amazing light.
I took Annalise to my favorite shooting location at the base of Smith Rock for her senior portrait session. The cloud cover was just perfect enough that I was able to photograph in places I normally can’t in the evening. Places that are normally hit too harshly with bright evening light were beautifully diffused and I was absolutely delighted.
Annalise, enjoy every second of your senior year! Happy Monday!
