It’s not often that you encounter triplets. And on my last trip to the NICU, not only did I meet Miss Lottie Belle who was originally one of triplets, I also met Cooper, Calvin, and Lily. Not only are they the latest addition to their family, they also have older siblings that happen to be twins. And happen to have just turned two. Mom and Dad will have quite the noisy, joyful house over the next few years with five children now under the age of three – but I think they have what it takes. They’re both pediatric dentists. Which means their kids will have the brightest teeth in the land!
This wasn’t my first time photographing multiples in the NICU, but it was my first time photographing triplets. Thankfully Kim was on hand to help maneuver the brood while each got their time to shine. I am happy to say that we also gave Mom the opportunity to hold all three little miracles at the same time for the first time since she had them. Cooper and Calvin were well on their way to being sent home, and Lily was just behind them. She still needed to be on oxygen in her isolette for awhile longer, but I think she also wanted to make sure she got one-on-one attention from Mom for a little while.
Cooper and Calvin both dressed up for me. I told Calvin when I first met him that he didn’t need to put on a tie for me. I think he might have blushed. Either that or it was gas. You can’t ever quite tell with little ones. Regardless, happy Tuesday!

I´m a nurse at the NICU so I see these sort of miracles almost every day. I´m also a photography lover and even took photography as a hobby but they won´t let me photograph the babies where I work… which I think it´s a shame because parents should be able to have pictures of their babies since day 1. I think you work Jane is AMAZING!!!!
